DRI Foundation Helps Connect Children With Families in War-Torn Sierra Leone

The DRI Foundation’s efforts to create a resilient global community have led to financial support for Kidsave International. Since 1993, Kidsave has been working with governments, communities, and individuals to aid children and families in the midst of war-torn regions, including Sierra Leone.

For decades, the people of Sierra Leone have faced civil war, the Ebola virus, COVID-19, and an ongoing fight against HIV/AIDS. Many live in poverty, and an estimated 310,000 children live as orphans.

“I wanted to personally thank you for your generous donation to Kidsave’s Sierra Leone Orphan Reunification Program,” writes Development and Special Events Manager Genesis Diaz. “Your donation supports finding permanent families for children growing up in Sierra Leone orphanages. Thanks to you, we can continue to make a positive impact in these children’s lives.”

In partnership with the Foundation for Integrated Development, Kidsave has brought more than 1,200 children out of orphanages and back into their ancestral villages.

The DRI Foundation is proud to provide support and vital financial assistance to such nonprofit organizations to aid their missions in communities where they are needed. Click here to learn more about how you can help.
