DRI Foundation Supports Safe Water Treatment and Technology for Rural Mexico

The DRI Foundation directs its charitable donations toward organizations that focus on the immediate needs of at-risk communities and help make a lasting impact on their wellbeing. This is why it has supported Caminos de Agua, a community-focused and data-driven nonprofit directed toward water solutions for rural areas.

Describing its mission, Caminos de Agua says: “We monitor community water quality, uncovering dangerous chemical contaminants, and our pioneering low-cost technologies have directly impacted over 50,000 people in the Upper Río Laja Watershed, as well as throughout Mexico, as of 2024.”

Its primary focuses are:

  • Raising Awareness – Through educational materials, forums, and events, Caminos de Agua highlights local and global water challenges.
  • Groundwater Treatment – Caminos’ award-winning technology helps provide treatment systems to identify, monitor, and remove dangerous contaminants from groundwater.
  • Rainwater Harvesting – With support from volunteer labor, Caminos has helped build nearly 1,400 large-scale rainwater harvesting systems alongside a network of grassroots and community partners.
