Be Rose International Foundation Helps Post-Wildfire Recovery

The DRI Foundation is proud to support the Be Rose International Foundation and its work helping communities in need in the wake of a wildfire that devastated Sierra Leone.

The Be Rose International Foundation is continuously helping people in need – especially women, young girls, youth and the vulnerable – to escape poverty by providing charitable interventions scholarships and spreading its advocacy around the world and bringing them hope as the ultimate goal.

On Mar. 24, 2021, heavy wind storms led to a wildfire in Freetown slums of Susan’s Bay, Sierra Leone, leaving thousands displaced with more than 100 people injured.

The entire community was burnt down because fire services could not access due to over crowing and poor planning. Be Rose staff and volunteers visited the site only to see people and children fighting for food. Residents were even the remains of their housing as scrap metals for food for their families.

DRI Foundation assistance is helping Be Rose bring much-needed food and supplies to the area.

The DRI Foundation is proud to support such nonprofit organizations in communities impacted by disasters to provide crucial assistance. 100 percent of the money collected from donors goes to small, local organizations that are an integral part of their communities. Click here to donate.
