The El Paso Community Foundation has received support from the DRI Foundation in the wake of the recent shooting which has rocked the area.
On Aug. 3, 2019, a mass shooting occurred at a Walmart in El Paso, TX, killing 23 and injuring at least 23 others. EPCF set up a special fund for families impacted by this horrific act of violence by paying for funeral and other expenses, as well as a separate scholarship fund for the children of those who were attacked.
El Paso Community Foundation was established in 1977 as a permanent endowment for the long-term benefit of the El Paso region, far West Texas, Southern New Mexico and Northern Chihuahua, Mexico. It serves as a charitable resource to donors, nonprofit organizations and the community at-large.
The DRI Foundation is proud to support such non-profit organizations in communities impacted by disasters and to provide crucial assistance.
