More than 60,000 homes have been impacted and at least 13 people have lost their lives as a result of the severe flooding in both Louisiana and Mississippi. As a result, the Federal Government has declared a major disaster, reportedly the worst to hit the U.S. since Superstorm Sandy.

Identify local charities: Local charities are the lifeblood of real community resilience. If you are familiar with local organizations aiding the recovery of affected areas, please let us know at getinvolved@driif.org. We will take all submissions into consideration and select local recipients from the list of submissions.
