Post-Storm Aid for Houston Community Development Center

Houston-based Launch Point Community Development Center is among the most recent recipients of support from the DRI Foundation, which provided a donation as part of its Donations After Disasters Program.

Launch Point CDC is a community development, resource and information center operating since 1993, equipping youth, adults and families with life building training, skills, jobs, and entrepreneurship. Its focus is on impactful economic development and revitalization for Houston’s underserved communities, energizing sustainability for struggling communities to meet the needs of the future.

Launch Point’s request for funding assistance came in the wake of Winter Storm Uri in Feb. 2021, which hit the Houston area – including Launch Point’s constituents – particularly hard.

The DRI Foundation is proud to support such nonprofit organizations in communities impacted by disasters to provide crucial assistance. 100 percent of the money collected from donors goes to small, local organizations that are an integral part of their communities. Click here to donate.
