DRI Foundation Gives to Downtown Rescue Mission to Support Emergency Services

The DRI Foundation has focused its Global Pandemic Fund giving on local organizations working to assist their communities. Among them is the Downtown Rescue Mission, headquartered in Huntsville, AL.

The Downtown Rescue Mission is a nonprofit organization serving the homeless living throughout northern Alabama and southern Tennessee. It works to change the lives of homeless and hurting men, women and children by providing emergency services, free meals and shelter, recovery services, transitional support and community outreach.

“In this uncertain time of the COVID-19 pandemic, I want to assure you that Downtown Rescue Mission is committed to serving the most vulnerable people in our community, just as we have for the past 45 years,” says Keith Overholt, President/CEO of Downtown Rescue Mission. “We care deeply about the men, women, and children who come to the Mission for meals, shelter, and programs.”

The DRI Foundation is proud to support such nonprofit organizations in communities impacted by disasters to provide crucial assistance. 100 percent of the money collected for the Global Pandemic Fund will go to small, local organizations that are an integral part of their communities.
