DRI Foundation Gives to Morristown Medical Center Fundraising Efforts

Atlantic Health System’s Foundation for Morristown Medical Center is a recipient of a donation from the DRI Foundation as part of its Global Pandemic Fund, supporting organization’s helping areas impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Foundation for Morristown Medical Center is a nonprofit, public foundation whose mission is to inspire community philanthropy to advance exceptional health care for patients at Morristown Medical Center and Goryeb Children’s Hospital. Its objective is to use philanthropy to preserve and expand programs and services in patient care, clinical research, medical and public health education, and preventive medicine.

As it described in a recent press release about its community support:

“Just weeks after launching the COVID-19 Support Fund for Morristown Medical Center, community members — many first-time donors — gave more than $1.6 million to purchase much-needed equipment for critical care patients, including ventilators and bronchoscopes, as well as iPads for patients in isolation to use to communicate with family members.  Additionally, a portion of the fund is directed toward supporting meal gift cards for front-line workers through Serve it Forward. Serve it Forward was created in partnership with Morristown Mayor Tim Dougherty’s office and Morristown Medical Center.”

The DRI Foundation is proud to support such nonprofit organizations in communities impacted by disasters to provide crucial assistance. 100 percent of the money collected for the Global Pandemic Fund will go to small, local organizations that are an integral part of their communities.  Click here to donate.
