DRI Hosts Business Continuity Training for Veterans, SEALS, Special Ops at MacDill AFB

On Aug. 5-9, 2019, DRI hosted a special Business Continuity (BCLE 2000) course at the headquarters of Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL. The course taught 22 Navy SEALS, Army, and Air Force Special Operations Forces, including the deputy in charge of the Air Force Office of Special Operations.

“It’s good to tie in Special Operations with special cause risk like business continuity and crisis management, through a business lens,” said Alan Lake, Colonel, USAF (ret.) and DRI course instructor. “Air Force and Army Special Forces and Navy SEALS are now taking courses leading to their transition from experts in special operations to experts in business continuity.”

“Thank you for the opportunity and scholarship to take this course,” said Joseph Mulder, a student who found the course as part of Special Operations Command transition. “This is another way to take the years of experiences and knowledge and bring worth and value to the corporate and business world, while supporting another worthwhile mission and still taking care of the people of the business and ultimately the customers of the services or goods they provide.”
