Nepal has been struck by a second earthquake just three weeks after the country was devastated by a powerful quake that claimed nearly 8,000 lives. The 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck eastern Nepal, with an epicenter about 47 miles east of Kathmandu, near the border with China. More than 1,000 people have been reported injured, however the scale of the tragedy is still being assessed. After a magnitude-7.8 earthquake struck western Nepal on April 25, the DRI Foundation set up the Nepal Relief Fund for long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts in the affected areas. While the response has been encouraging, the DRI Foundation is once again calling all continuity professionals, and their organizations to come together support the people of Nepal. 
All proceeds donated will go directly to recovery efforts. The combined efforts of donors and the DRI Foundation will send a message of support, help, and hope from their communities to those in need. In the coming weeks, the Foundation will select a local recipient using information from DRI International’s network of contacts on the ground.
